How can we expect to have renewal of our minds with vulgar language from music, sexual scenes from movies, and inappropriate images from social media constantly running through our minds? We can't. So is there a way we can have renewal? How can our minds be refreshed and restored?

I’m not ready. But maybe I don’t have to feel ready. Maybe I don’t have to feel anything. Maybe I just have to do something. In fact, maybe we shouldn’t be so worried about feeling ready. Maybe we just need to do the next right thing.
There are so many things I could be doing better. New Year’s resolutions can be depressing because they remind us how flawed we are. If I really think about it, I could come up with dozens of ways to be a better Christian. Instead, I try to ignore my flaws and sins but rarely put in the effort to do better. What sins have you conveniently forgotten about?
